It’s that time again! Time for this weeks Try It Tuesday activity. Try It Tuesday is where my daughter Little C, and I, try some of our favorite ideas from around the web, and share our experiences with our readers. Over the past two years, we have tried quite a few different activities, and we have a lot to share! Some of these activities have been adapted by us over time, and are old tried, and true favorites. Some of the activities, like the one I am sharing today, are great ideas that we found from other creative sources that we would love to share with you! So lets get down to business, and talk about these adorable yarn dolls.
Have you ever made your own yarn dolls? If are like me, and you have never tried making your own yarn dolls, you are missing out. When I saw the tutorial for these yarn dolls, I knew my daughter would love them. Little C loves anything that she can carry around the house, and she is in love with yarn, so I knew she would love these yarn dolls. She is too young to make these herself, but she thoroughly enjoyed having a yarn party while I made these for her. It seriously looked like a cat had chased a ball of yarn all over my living room when she was done with her yarn party. This was my first time making yarn dolls, so they are far from perfect, but I love them! Little C loved pulling on their arms, and trying to make them sit while I was hard at work. Here are a few pictures of our perfectly imperfect yarn dolls.
You can find the easy to follow tutorial for these adorable yard dolls by heading on over to The Craft Train. I am going to dub Kate, from The Craft Train a yarn doll pro, because her yarn dolls look a lot better than mine! Kate has some unique craft ideas, and her blog is one of my favorite places to find kids crafts. If you loved these yarn dolls, come back next Tuesday to find out what I feature next on Try It Tuesday! Do you have any suggestions, or requests on what you would like us to try out?
